Wayuú Mochila bags are 100% Handmade from Northern Colombia near the Caribbean coast, bordering Venezuela, in the territory of La Guajira.
Intricate geometric patterns and colors are crocheted by the Wayuú indigenous women, whom create these designs past down from generation to generation. These patterns represent their culture, nature, spirit, and traditions.
These single threaded original Wayuu bags take around 2-3 weeks depending on the size. However, the mixed colors ones, can take from 1 month or even over, depending on the colors used and the difficulty of the patterns.
